Research conducted by the Cleveland Clinic and Massachusetts-based startup Health Data Analytics Institute (HDAI) measured the difference in mortality during the pandemic between people covered by Medicare in long-term care facilities and in the community. While a Covid-19 diagnosis increased deaths in both settings, there was a stark difference in those who had not been diagnosed with Covid-19.
