UNC Health to Open New Youth-Specific Psychiatric Hospital to Address the Mental Health Crisis
UNC Health has partnered with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to open a new inpatient psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents. The partners came together because action is desperately needed to increase access to youth mental health services — research has found a significant link between the country’s shortage of mental health professionals and its rise in youth suicides.
